CU Electric Motorcycle motocross concept

The numbers, explained.

40 hp — peak power target. An ambition for this build, inspired by high-power QS conversions. It has not been dyno tested. Electrical input power and wheel horsepower are different measurements.

65 mph — gearing estimate. About 64 mph at 4,000 motor rpm, a 5:1 total reduction and a 27-inch tire. These are provisional assumptions; gearing, load and available power determine the actual speed.

25–40 miles — estimated range. Based on 90% of 2.37 kWh and an assumed 55–85 Wh/mile at a moderate pace. This is not range at top speed. Used-cell capacity, hills and hard riding can reduce it.

2.37 kWh — planned battery. 400 cells in 20s20p, using 3.7 V and 1.6 Ah typical cell ratings. Eight donor modules provide 416 cells.

Pushing electric forward. Performance targets and provisional estimates; road and dyno testing pending.
